Free Concert in the Grove – Saturday

The City of Clayton is offering Concerts in The Grove! Free Admission! Saturday, May 25th, 2013 Cover 2 Cover –is a high-energy and fun-filled dance band from the East Bay. They passionately deliver a variety of musical styles, spanning five decades. Cover2Cover has developed a rock solid reputation as one of the top cover bands in the Bay Area. This band will take you back to memory lane, urging you to sing along and dance to the music we all love. Check out this cool sample of Cover 2 Cover!

Come to this great community event and join your neighbors for a remarkable night! Chairs and blankets may be set out after 4pm on concert days. Come early to get awesome seating. Bring a picnic dinner, drinks, ice chest and enjoy a fabulous night on the lawn. The city is requesting no glassware, BBQs, or “silly-string.” Walking to the park is recommended since parking is limited. Help keep our park clean & safe by cleaning up after the concert! AAA’s Tipsy Tow Program offers a free tow for drinking drivers in Northern California from 6 pm on most major holidays (read: popular times to get wasted) until 6 am the next morning, in Northern California, Nevada and Utah.

And you don’t even have to be a AAA member.

To all the mothers of the world, we love and thank you for all you do.  Everyday should be mothers day because without them we wouldn’t be here. I hope all of our amazing mother have an amazing day. On a personal note, I wanted to thank my mom for all the love, support and encouragement that she’s given me over the years. Mom, I want to thank you for always being there and for being strong especially when I’m not. Thank you for doing it alone and teaching me to never stop and never give up no matter what cards your dealt. Mom you are truly an inspiration and Grandma was right…. You are my best friend. I love you!

Help Stamp Out Hunger – National Food Drive

Letter carriers will be collecting food for the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano and food banks across the country as they deliver the mail in this one-day national food drive. Mark your calendar for Saturday, May 11th as a reminder to leave a bag of non perishable food by your mailbox, before your regular mail delivery.  Your donations will help us fill many empty tummies during the summer months when children are out of school without access to free meals.
