CONFIRMED: DUI CHECKPOINT TOMORROW – July 5

Law enforcement throughout Contra Costa County will be cracking down on drunk drivers tonight. As part of the Avoid the 25, the anti-DUI task force will deploy officers countywide  to arrest drunk drivers and keep the public aware of the dangers of driving while impaired.

Tomorrow DUI Checkpoint will be held at Clayton Rd and Ayers from 9:30-3:30pm. The checkpoint will be held in front of Kmart in the Vineyard Shopping Center. Enforcement will be patrolling from Bailey Rd to Ayers for vehicles headed towards Clayton.

We will continue to make the people of Contra Costa County aware of DUI Checkpoints, Smog Checkpoints, Saturation Patrols, and other travel related events. People making plans for weekend trips and parties are encouraged to use a designated sober driver to prevent arrests or accidents. Drive safe and be responsible.   1. Diablo Reporter: Are you a fan of political signs hanging on community cork boards at local starbucks and juice bars? Even if you are a supporter of Ron Leone for CONCORD City Council, it sure seems monopolistic to take up a 1/4 page board on Jamba Juice establishment in Clayton Shopping Center. Check it out. I took a picture of it today. You can go down there and see it for yourself. Are political signs with GIANT QR scan codes appropriate as a “community event”? It looks ridiculous.

  2. Diablo Reporter: The LARGE POSTER of Ron Leone is posted on the cork board at Jamba Juice and Starbucks in the Clayton Shopping Center, taking over some of the smaller community business cards of local things, in the event I cannot send it to you right away, today is 10 july 2014.
