DUI SATURATION PATROLS TONIGHT – ALL OVER CONCORD

duicheckpoint

Law enforcement throughout Contra Costa County will be cracking down on drunk drivers tonight. As part of the Avoid the 25, the anti-DUI task force will deploy officers countywide to arrest drunk drivers and keep the public aware of the dangers of driving while impaired.

Tonight’s DUI saturation patrols will be held all over Concord from 9:00-3:30pm. Possible target locations are Market & Concord Ave, Monument Blvd and Clayton Rd & Ayers. Funding for this program is a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration paid for by your tax dollars.

If you would like to be updated on DUI checkpoints in Contra Costa, it’s HIGHLY recommended that you joining our email list, Facebook page, twitter feed or bookmark us and check back often! We will continue to make people of Contra Costa County aware of DUI Checkpoints, Smog Checkpoints, Saturation Patrols, and other travel related events. As far as we know, DiabloReporter.com is the ONLY site that gives out specific times and locations of checkpoints in the County.

People making plans for weekend trips and parties are encouraged to use a designated sober driver to prevent arrests or accidents. Drive safe and be responsible.

To report a checkpoints or for more information on the legalities concerning checkpoints, please visit or DUI page. If you happen to drive through the checkpoint tonight, send us your pictures or videos to diabloreporter@hush.com or submit the info here and we would be happy to share them with the rest of the community!

When an adult has a sudden cardiac arrest, his or her survival depends greatly on immediately getting CPR from someone nearby. Unfortunately, less than 1/3 of those people who experience a cardiac arrest at home, work or in a public location get that help. Most bystanders are worried that they might do something wrong or make things worse. That’s why the American Heart Association has simplified things.

Two steps to save a life.

If you see an adult suddenly collapse, you should perform Hands-Only CPR:

  1. Call 911.
  2. Push hard and fast in the center of the chest. (watch the video)

This application will teach you how to perform Hands-Only CPR through video instruction.

This application brought to you by the American Heart Association, the nation’s oldest and largest voluntary health organization dedicated to building healthier lives, free of heart disease and stroke. Learn more by visiting www.HandsOnlyCPR.org.

Remember, be the best you can be by being prepared for any situation! It could save a life! How many of your friends know CPR? Organize a group so you can all learn together! Have you or someone you know ever had to perform CPR or need it? What happen? Tell us your CPR story below!!! Ah Ah Ah Ah Stayin alive!
