September is National Preparedness Month. Local residents are offered the opportunity to pick up useful information and free give-aways from local emergency service organizations on Thursday, Sept. 1st at Concord’s Emergency Preparedness Fair. It will be held from 4:00pm – 8:00pm at Todos Santos Plaza in downtown Concord.
The fair will feature representatives from the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District and Hazmat team, the American Red Cross, Contra Costa County Animal Services, the Salvation Army, Contra Costa County Public Health Division, Concord CERT, PG&E, CC Sheriff Department, the Mt. Diablo Amateur Radio Club and many more.
Demonstrations by citizen volunteers involved with Community Emergency Response Teams will be presented throughout the evening.
