Law enforcement throughout Contra Costa County will be cracking down on drunk drivers this weekend. There is a DUI checkpoint in progress right now.
The checkpoint will go until 2 am and is located near the Clayton Rd & Ayers intersection. They are stopping vehicles headed towards Clayton.

As part of the Avoid the 25, the anti-DUI task force will deploy officers countywide to arrest drunk drivers and keep the public aware of the dangers of driving while impaired. People making plans for weekend trips and parties are encouraged to use a designated sober driver to prevent arrests or accidents. Drive safe and be responsible.
