Family Harvest Carnival Coming Up This Weekend!

A fabulous fun-filled community event with lots of family games, food, music, photo opportunities, inflatables and entertainment including the Ultimate Gaming Truck. Visit the food plaza for delicious and tasty food including a baked potato bar, hot roasted corn-on-the-cob, tri-tip sandwiches, home-made lemonade and ice cream sandwiches from downtown Walnut Creek’s Cream. Our main stage will be rocking all afternoon with continuous live entertainment and contests. Check out some local vendor booths and take home a pumpkin plus an armful of prizes. Exciting for every age. Come and be a part of it!

Power Line Maintenance Today on Ayers & Clayton Rd

Residences of Ayers & Clayton Rd experienced a slower than normal commute today due to power line maintenance. Workers have worked tireless repairing and replacing various power lines all along Ayers. This is day two power maintenance and road way interference. They are hoping to be completed soon.

Classes are held at one of Navlet’s four East Bay garden centers, located in Concord, Danville, Martinez, and Pleasant Hill. Class size is limited, however, so it’s best to call ahead and reserve your space.

Red Flag High Wind Advisory: Thursday – Saturday

The National Weather has issued a Red Flag Weather Warning due to gusty North winds and low humidity. This advisory is in effect through Saturday morning and covers those in the East Bay above 1000 foot elevation.

If your out on the roads tonight drive safe! If you smell natural gas, see downed power lines, or suspect another emergency situation, leave the area immediately and then call 9-1-1 and PG&E at 1-800-743-5000.

Clayton Oktoberfest & Carnival – Half Price Tickets!

Clayton Business & Community Association invites you to experience Oktoberfest “Munich Style” in picturesque Clayton, CA. Set under beautiful Mt. Diablo, it evokes a feeling of Bavaria. Clayton’s Annual Oktoberfest is Saturday, October 5th and Sunday, October 6th 2013.The Carnival rides open on Friday, October 4th from 6-10pm,one day before the Oktoberfest festivities.

Clayton Oktoberfest 2013 activities include a parade, tapping of the Keg ceremony, international music, bavarian dancers, street performers and a full carnival of fun! Also available is arts, wines, crafts, vendors, live music and tons of dancing!

The parade will be held 12 p.m. and the Tapping of the Keg Ceremony will be at 12:30 p.n. in the Biergarten on Saturday. Street performers will be performing randomly throughout the event. Of course there will be beer, lots and lots of beer so bring your stein.
