Organic, Drought Tolerant and Shade Garden Classes

Saturday is a big day for gardening classes.

Learn tips and tricks from the experts! Navlet’s gardening classes are free, and each covers a timely topic in the garden. So learn from the pros, meet new friends, and have some fun. Classes are held at one of Navlet’s four East Bay garden centers, located in Concord, Danville, Martinez, and Pleasant Hill. Class size is limited, however, so it’s best to call ahead and reserve your space.

Organic Gardening Class:                                                                                               Learn how to achieve an organic garden by using natural products. We will discuss fertilizers and pests, fungus and weed controls. Find out which varieties are best suited to the area where you live, plus learn how to keep your citrus pest-free, healthy, and happy.

Class Location: Martinez
Date: Saturday, June 22
Time: 10:00 a.m.

Drought Tolerant Gardening Class:                                                                Navlet’s nursery professionals will show you how to have a water wise garden with drought tolerant plants. These fun and informative classes are free, but often fill quickly, so arrive early.

Date: Saturday, June 22
Class Location: Pleasant Hill & Danville at 10:00 a.m.

Shade Gardening Class:                                                                                               The amount of shade your garden receives can dramatically affect what types of plants will do well, and what you’ll need to do to ensure they’ll stay healthy and happy. Shaded gardens don’t need to be a challenge. Join Navlet’s nursery professionals in Danville for a question-and-answer session on shade gardens. You’ll learn which plants do best in partial or full shade, and how to care for them properly.

Class Location: Concord
Date: Saturday, June 22
