Law enforcement throughout Contra Costa County will be cracking down on drunk drivers tonight. As part of the Avoid the 25, the anti-DUI task force will deploy officers countywide to arrest drunk drivers and keep the public aware of the dangers of driving while impaired.
People making plans for weekend trips and parties are encouraged to use a designated sober driver to prevent arrests or accidents. Drive safe and be responsible.
Update: There is a checkpoint tonight in Concord (9:30pm – 3:30am) at Ayers and Clayton Rd, in Concord. There’s multiple motorcycle police officers, along with at least a dozen other officers from Concord PD. The checkpoint is in Kmart parking lot, however Officers stopping people as early as Bailey Rd and Clayton. This is for out bound (of Concord) traffic only. Cal Works is also on scene to provide signage. Check out the video and pics below
