House Plants & Bonsai Gardening Classes – Upcoming

Saturday is a big day for gardening classes.

Learn tips and tricks from the experts! Navlet’s gardening classes are free, and each covers a timely topic in the garden. So learn from the pros, meet new friends, and have some fun. Classes are held at one of Navlet’s four East Bay garden centers, located in Concord, Danville, Martinez, and Pleasant Hill. Class size is limited, however, so it’s best to call ahead and reserve your space.

Gardening Class: Houseplants
Nothing brightens up and adds life to the inside of your home better than lush, healthy houseplants. Come learn about amazing varieties of plants that will flourish indoors, from cacti and succulents requiring a sunny window spot, to varieties that need hardly any natural light at all. Navlet’s gurus will teach you how to use containers and houseplants to decorate. You’ll receive tips and tricks to keep them thriving.

Gardening Class: Bonsai
Looking to grow big satisfaction in a small space? Bonsai is the art of growing tiny versions of trees and plants in small containers using time-honored techniques that originated more than 1,000 years ago in China. You’ll learn which plant varieties lend themselves to Bonsai, and how to start your own Bonsai garden. This beginner’s class will cover plant  selection and care, pruning and the myriad of container selections that are perfectly suited to bonsai.
