The Rotary Club of Concord will be opening a free urgent care medical clinic at Cambridge Elementary School, 1135 Lacey Lane, Concord, CA 94520. The Clinic will be available to patients who live in the Concord area and have no health insurance. The Clinic will be open every Thursday from 5 P.M. until 9 P.M. Patients will be seen by appointment only. The clinic will be accepting appointments between the hours of 1 P.M. and 3 P.M. 2 P.M. on each Thursday at Concord RotaCare Phone #: 925-429-6409. Appointment slots are limited and only patients who make appointments will receive service.
This RotaCare Clinic is operated and underwritten by the Rotary Club of Concord. Supporters of the clinic include John Muir Health, Kaiser Permanente, Anka Behavioral Health, Inc., The Mt. Diablo Unified School District, La Casa Via Associates, LLC, and many dedicated health care providers, Rotarians and other caring people who live in Contra Costa County.

No need to be unthankful here. I was a member of Rotary JR (meaning I did not work but I helped with organizing help for orphans , feed homeless , clean the streets , go to schools an ask the kids to paint paintings that we sold to get money to help a 15 year old not to loose her leg due to a rear infection and so on and so on ) club in Europe , please read about it before leaving negative reviews it brings positive in peoples life really!This people pay from their own pockets for allot of issues to be resolved! They are the best in they what they do but most important they have hearts!
About the illegals – I can say our parents came from all over the world I understand if you are native indian but if you not your grandparents walked the same path! We are citizens of this land , of this world if I was a doctor i would volunteer to help anybody poor or not!I believe good people are part of this world and I can only say THANK YOU!

Free Clinics are for everyone, no matter your race. I work in health care and I usually see more blacks and whites seeking meds to sell or get high off…so if you are illegal and need meds I would rather help them than a drug seeker. Don’t make judgements unless u work in the ER or anyother medical place. Its free for everyone, stop juding!

Someone continues to spam craigslists’ free section with free medical care, and links to your article. Funny that an urgent healthcare clinic is open for 4 hours, one night a week, and takes appointments for 2 hours the afternoon before that evening. And by funny I mean that the rest of the civilized world laughs and laughs and laughs at what we endure while we beat our chests, and fling our feces.

I’m not sure how chest beating and feces throwing is related to a ” laughing” civilization. Fortunately, most of us have evolved and matured enough to be compassionate human beings willing to offer a friendly hand of hope for those who are facing difficult challenges in life. This was notable enough to be in Thursday’s 6/6/13 transcript.

I’m 33 & disabled due to being rear-ended by an uninsured legal citizen. My husband is disabled due to major back surgery & both of my children have health problems. The state of CA says we can afford a $650 a month share of cost with Medi-Cal when we can barely afford rent utilities & food. I’m Cherokee, English, Irish & Dutch. Being in need of help can happen to absolutely anyone! I’m so thankful that this clinic is opening to help those in need. My only wish would be that I could go. Unfortunately I do not live in Concord. I praise those that are helping the needy & wish the best for you all.

So I tried calling for an appt, and their message says to call between 1 and 2. Everywhere I’ve seen info on this, it says 1-3. I probably missed the window to call today because of this erroneous info.

That is why we have to hunt for people to use it. Maybe the rotary club should be spending some of our donated money for ads on TV and radio to tell people about a service that apparently is not even needed.

What services do they provide? My daughter (college student) and I are uninsured and need eye testing and basic screenings. We live in Pleasant Hill and hope to be able to take advantage of this service. Bless all those who are providing it.
